Grand Marine Court was built in the late 1800's and originally opened its doors at The Bournemouth Hydropathic Establishment in 1880. In 1933 the name changed to the Bournemouth Hydro Hotel and then during WW2 the hotel was requisitioned by the Home Office. In 1946 the name changed to what it known as today and during the 1950's planning permission was granted to convert the building into apartments.

The building still boasts many of its original features both in the communal areas and inside the flats themselves. From the original revolving doors, original staircases and stained glass windows it is evident that a real effort has been made to retain as much as possible.

The location of the property is one of its main benefits, located at the end of Durley Gardens just yards from the clifftop and Bournemouth's famous blue flag beaches accessed by the nearby steps and zig zag. Once on the promenade there are a number of restaurants to wet your appetite. The town centre is also nearby offering a wide selection of shops, bars, restaurants and attractions.

Access to this property is through the communal entrance with a beautiful canopy in keeping with the age of the building. Stairs or a lift leading to the first floor and once inside the property you are greeted by a spacious hallway with high ceilings. High ceilings and ornate coving are a feature throughout.

The lounge/diner is to the left hand side and has a large bay window overlooking the front. Looking out of the window to the left hand side you can see the beautiful public gardens on the clifftop with the beaches just below. A focal point of the lounge is the feature fireplace with a stunning surround including three inset mirrors and an iron gate.

The kitchen is beautifully presented with fully tilled walls, Corian worksurfaces, matching wall and base units, and fitted appliances to include a a five plate ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, integrated dishwasher and washing machine. There is also an American style fridge/freezer included in the sale.

Both bedrooms are comfortable doubles in size and both boast front facing bay windows and fitted floor to ceiling wardrobes.

The master bedroom should be described as a suite, and has the benefit of a modern en-suite with a corner shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC. An additional feature is a room adjacent to the rear of the master bedroom which can be used as a casual bedroom with two pull down beds fitted to the back wall. The same fitting has a pull up desk so the room can also be used as a study. We could also envisage the space being used a dressing room.

Nestled between both bedrooms and accessed from the hall is the main bathroom, which is again fitted with floor to ceiling tiles and has a panelled 'P shaped' bath with shower and screen, a pedestal wash hand basin and a WC.

Completing the accommodation is a utility cupboard to house the tumble dryer and a further storage cupboard close to the front door.

We have also been notified by the owners that pets are allowed.
